Bayon Temple through the trees

Floating Village

Checking the fish traps for dinner

There’s an energy in Cambodia that’s unlike anywhere else in the world. It’s palpable and yet almost impossible to capture in a photo. I spent a month here and took thousands of shots, and it still wasn’t enough. With hundreds of temples scattered across the country, I focused on the most famous ones but also stumbled across a few hidden gems I spotted through the trees while riding through the jungle. It wasn’t only about the temples, though. Visiting a floating village on Tonlé Sap was just as memorable, seeing an entire community built on water and learning how people live day to day in such a unique environment. Looking back at these photos takes me right back to one of my favorite times in life. They remind me of the magic that exists in Cambodia, a place that stays with you long after you leave.
