I went to Thailand looking for something radically different from Europe and Northern Africa. I based myself in Bangkok, with brief escapes to explore the jungle and a nearby island, but it was the city that defined the experience. Bangkok was relentless. Loud, dense, fast, and overwhelming. It was one of the few places I’ve traveled where I remember thinking I could never truly relax. Some of the photographs in this collection come from that feeling: the constant motion, the sensory overload, the visual chaos. Other images are an attempt to capture the rare moments of order in a place that hardly ever slows down. This series isn’t meant to explain Thailand or soften it. It’s a record of how it felt to experience it: disorienting, fascinating, exhausting, and unforgettable.
